CURRENT AND UPCOMING EXHIBITIONS:

"The People's Tarot", a participatory multiform project including collages, a deck, book, and prints debuted in Tapping the Third Realm, Ben Maltz Gallery and the Laband Gallery, Loyola Marymount University, fall 2013. "The People's Tarot" travels to the Art and Culture Center of Holywood in Florida, fall 2014. This project is part of Miami Basel 2014.

Two large-scale "Hybrids" were included in "Digital Analog", a group exhibition at the Irvine Fine Arts Center, July 26-Sept 6, 2014 and these pieces were featured in a review in Artscene, September 2014.

"Pollinating Kindness", a new participatory project will be on view in "Olly Olly Oxen Free", an innovative group exhibition in the garden at Offramp Gallery, Pasadena, CA, Sept 14 - Oct. 12, 2014.

A new piece in 6018 Wilshire", anniversary group exhibition at Edward Cella Gallery, curated by Carl Berg, including artists that have shown at the space over the years, Sept. 20 - Nov. 22, 2014.

WRITING: New essay on Los Angeles Review of Books, "Access is the Enemy of Disparity, but Access to What?", July 24, 2014 and two recent Critic's Picks, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, on Artforum.com.

PRESS: In a review of "Analog Digital" in Artscene September 2014, Roberta Carasso write of "Hybrids" "...these perfectly rendered metaphors are among the visual hits of the show." Annie was featured in Gordy Grundy's "Inside the Artist's Studio, Volume Three" on The Huffington Post and interviewed by Mary Anna Pomonis for The Make, but fall 2014. "The People's Tarot was mentioned favorably in Betty Brown's review of "Tapping the Third Realm" in the November issue of Artscene.

CURATING: See images and a video about the show Annie curated at Otis College of Art and Design:"Bridging Homeboy Industries: Fabian Debora, Alex Kizu, and Juan Carlos Munoz Hernandez. A second iteration of this popular exhibition will be on view at RAFFMA in San Bernardino in the fall of 2014.
